Tax Reporting for Payments to Pros
TIDY can generally help in some limited ways for you to prepare and file tax reports for your pros.
- If you are using our system to pay for a pro's work via credit card, then we automatically file some items as required by law. For example, in the US, we file a 1099-k to the pro when their volume exceeds the reporting thresholds. Depending on your usecase, this may mean you can avoid filing a 1099.
- If you are paying by another method, we can generate billing reports for a period of time to show how much you paid each pro over that period of time, and how you paid them. This can be useful in preparing tax filings, such as a 1099-misc, as they should have the relevant information for you.
We are interested in hearing from you how we might be able to help in the future, so if you have a request, please contact our concierge in the app or by email and let us know how we might help you with tax reporting for your pros.
